Usage of Insulin Pen Needle
Before using the needle, remove the protective paper and attach it to the pen. The inner needle and cartridge compartment should be perfectly aligned, and the needle should be securely fitted onto the pen. After attaching the needle, check the insulin flow to ensure the pen is ready for injection. Injections can be administered to various areas of the body such as the abdomen, thigh, arm, and buttocks. The correct injection site should be determined based on the doctor’s recommendation.
Warnings and Important Information
Make sure to check the packaging for any damage. If the needle tip is damaged or the protective label is torn, do not use the needle. Additionally, avoid injecting into the same 3 cm area more than 3 times within a week.
Cleaning and Disposal
Used needles should be collected in a plastic container and disposed of as medical waste. Never reuse needles. Ensure safe disposal by following local regulations for medical waste.
